Now its time to look into units in more detail.  This will help you figure out what the enemy is capable of doing.
Almost every unit has a worst enemy, a "counter" unit if you want to call it that.  For example; Phoenix owns WarPigeons, but WarPigeons owns most poccers.

Another easier way of this skill is to always look for the mismatch.  Example: GG Daevas are coming, and you have AG Oizys....this is a no brainer you should HIT the daevas.  The daevas are unable to fire back...they can only hurt your allies ground forces.
The main focus on every single battle that you fight within this game are the (points of contention) "pocs".  As a fighter you should always have 1 set of units that can either block or destroy enemy poccers.  Besides WarPigeons, Daevas and Ghasts; gold-arbs can be a wonderfull poc clearer.  There are a few "counter-units" that can really mess up a arbalests day.  One of the main units would be the
infil-imp.  These imps are disguised with the color of your team-mates, therefore your arbs cannot directly target them !  How do you tell the differnce between a real imp and a infil-imp ?  Here is an example in the photos towards the upper right in Fig-5 & Fig-6.  Can you see the differnce ? (2bars = friend.  1bar = enemy)
Infil imps have 1 quality that cloaked units have. They must be manually targeted.  That means you have to place your attack cursor ontop of the unit in order to attack it.  Cloaked units cannot poc, Infil-imps can. (please read **Advanced infil-imp Tactic**) -------------->
Fig-5 is a display of a team-mates imp, you can tell it is your     team-mates imp because you can see the health & energy bar.
Fig-6 is a display of a Infil-imp, although it is the same color       green as your ally in Fig-5, it is really an enemy.  You can tell it is an enemy because it only has 1 health bar, and no energy     bar.  2 bars = friend 1 bar = foe.
Shattered Galaxy is truly a game of skill, balance, stratedgy & teamwork. Lets review on each of those 4 concepts.

*
Skilled players are sometimes just great born competive gamers that picked up the game fast, but you can always obtain great skill over time.  The more you learn, play, and listen the more skilled you shall become.

*
Balance is a battle concept that most players overlook.  One classic example of messing up the battle balance is the old "Air-Mob" scheme.  Basically the attackers bring out all AA+AG units to throw off the enemys forces.  This forces the enemy to bring out anti-air units to balance the forces back out.  If you notice your regiment has alot of GG out, maby you should provide them air-cover instead of just bringing out your GG, in order to maintain a healthy balance.

*
Stratedgy well this is something that can be applied to anything.  It can mean keeping your most damaged units behind your squad while attacking.  It can mean to rein from a differnt port than the rest of your allies.  It can mean keeping track of the timer so you know when to bring out the right units.  It can mean poccing at 1:59 mark on a 1:00 Poc time map. (so the enemy does not have enough time to repoc).  Stratedgy is something that goes along with being skilled.  Stratedgy is something you will obtain as you play and read more.

*
Teamwork well this is definaly the most important concept within this game.  Stick the top 10 players with the biggest egos on SG on the same team in a battle, and place them against 10 average players that play well together.  I bet the players with the teamwork will always win.  Example of teamwork are; providing air-mines over our arbs/sitters, not killing emped units, clearing enemy pocs for our poccers, using an Orbus-link so we all don't have to walk long distances, having mantlets ready for our killers to use, warping medics to heal our poccers, TeamKilling allies once they are our of energy, phasing allies that wish to be phased.  Those are just some example of great teamwork.

Sometimes we can lose a battle, but a player will brag about racking up enough points to make top 3 in battle.  That makes NO SENSE !!  That is not teamwork,
the best player is only as strong as our weakest.  We lose together and we win together.  Forget about racking up the points, forget about being top 3.  I do not care who makes top 3, i care about us winning as a team.  What about that player who emped, healed, repaired, camo'd, jammed, or covered pocs the entire battle ?  They didnt earn "points" for doing any of that, does that mean they didn't contribute ?  Actually i think those players are known as the silent heros, they play unselfishly, they play for the win, they play with great team ethics.  You will never make top 3 by emp, camo, or healing, or sitting but you can definaly turn the tides of battle this way for the rest.

Battle Tactics Part II

                 ****Advanced Infil-Imp Tactic**** [Fig-7]
This is possibly the best way to annoy the enemy while Poccing.  As long as the enemy has no anti-air, it will work 100% of the time.  As you read earlier infil-imps can only be manually targeted.  What if you can't put your cursor on them because something is in the way ?
If you can't move your cursor on them, then you simply cannot attack them.  You can't grenade them, you can't arb them.  Instead you gotta sit there and pray that one of your allies has some form of anti-air to knock out the Rocs or aircraft hovering over those infil-imps. ( Unless you have Self-destruct, Earth-Quake, or nukers handy)
Notice all the rocs hoovering above the POC in   Fig-7 above. This makes it near impossible to     target your cursor arrow on the enemy poccer.
4 ingredients to victory !
                                                 The Art of Killing
Great killers on SG can be hard to find.  So what makes a great killer ?  Who is the ultimate judge on who is a great killer or not ?  Both of these questions are very simple to answer.
Great killers help create great poccers.  Great killers are players who take out the enemies poc-clearers. Great killers are judged by their regiments poccers.  The best thing for a poccer to see is a squad of enemy daevas destroyed before they could lob off their deadly grenades.  Poccers are usually the ones who can figure out who the great killers are, mostly because they are the players who are taking all the damage in order to un-lock the poc.

Think of it as a football teams offense.  The poccer is the running back, but the running back needs teammates to block off defenders in order to score points.  Well this same principle is applied to SG, your poccers need to have some blocks thrown there way too !
     :Example:
A squad of ally hydras are charging down the field !  Suddendly a squad of daevas prepares to launch grenades to stop your friends hydras !  As a killer your sole job is to throw your friend a block the best way you can. You should ignore everything else and attack the daevas !

The example above is what a great killer would do.  For all killers during EG your sole purpose is to "protect your regiments poccers at all costs".  This is an example of Teamwork.
This website gives you all the tools you need in order to become a great SG killer.  The stat-guide will give you multiple builds, and we have experienced legionnaires who will also be glad to help you decide what killer build is right for you.  All great killers should atleast have 1 squad of anti-air, and 1 squad of Air-to-Ground.
Well that is the art of killing, its about who, when, what, and why to kill or not kill certain units.  Anybody can frag, but not anybody knows the who, when, what, & whys of fragging.  If you forget all that you just read, just remember this one phrase.
"A poccers best friend, is a great killer watching over his/her back !"
